Midwest Crematory has become the low cost alternative which offers caring and professional funeral services with viewing, direct burial or direct cremation. Midwest Crematory is easier and less expensive than traditional funeral homes to work with. Owned and operated by licensed funeral directors, Midwest Crematory has become the leader in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan when it comes to affordable and professional funeral services. OPTION 1: Traditional Funeral Services with Casket Burial - $ 5,900.00 This price includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, local transfer of decedent, embalming, other preparation of decedent, funeral ceremony, 2 hours of visitation, casket coach, lead vehicle, non-seal metal casket selection, non-seal vault, and a memorial card and register book package. (Cash Advances and Sales Tax are not included.)
OPTION 2 - Traditional Funeral Service with Cremation - $ 3,900.00 This price includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff, local transfer of decedent, embalming, other preparation of decedent, funeral ceremony, 1 hour of visitation, oak casket rental, and the memorial package. (Cash Advances, Sales Tax and the Cremation Fee (+$300) are not included.) Veteran’s Discount (Discount is taken off funeral packages only) - $500 off (This discount is taken off funeral packages only.) Medicaid Option (Indiana Residents Only) - $2350.00 Traditional Funeral Service with Cremation Traditional Cremation - $1,395.00 This includes: removal of the decedent, local transportation to crematory, necesasry authorization, processing the death certificate, alternative cremation container, either an Acclaim or Madison Urn, basic services of the funeral director and staff, 1- death certificate, obituary service, the filing of life insurance benefits and holding for up to 7 days. This fee does not include the use of facilities or staff for any viewing, visitation, attendant rites, ceremonies, cemetery charges, or Cremation Fee (+300). Midwest Crematory accepts insurance benefits funded through American Funeral Financial. Basic Cremation - $995.00 This includes: removal of the decedent, local transportation to crematory, necessary authorizations, processing the death certificate, alternative cremation container, a temporary urn, basic services of the funeral director and staff and holding for up to 3 days. Arrangements must be made during our regular office hours, Monday - Friday 9a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the our facility or by telephone. (This fee does not include the use of facilities or staff for any viewing, visitation, attendant rites, ceremonies, cemetery charges, death certificates, obituary services or Cremation Fee (+300)). Cash or Credit only. No Insurance excepted. Cremation Fee - $300.00 This is the overhead charge for the cremation process. Holding Fee (An additional charge per day) - $150.00 Illinois Administrative Fee - $600.00 Deaths occuring in Illinois require additional fees and administrative services due to Illinois laws. Other Automotive (outside 50 miles) - $2.00/mile Deaths occuring in Illinois require additional fees and administrative services due to Illinois laws. Return of Ashes (Minimum 3 weeks) - $100 USPS Registered Mail Return of ashed to the authorized agent. Midwest Crematory return of ashes to the home - $5.00/mile USPS Registered Mail Return of ashed to the authorized agent. Administrative Fee - $250.00 Any other administrative services not included in the package totals. Witnessing Cremation - $250.00 A private family witnessing of the cremation process (Up to 30 minutes for Immediate Family Members Only)
